This place is always packed. That means the food is that good. Famous for Tamil cuisines. Only bad thing is parking. There is no parking space except for three cars and the parking space is inclined so it's hard to park and this area is congested. Other than that everything is very good food, ambience, staff all are top notch.

Such a pride hotel for Al Ghubra Muscat. Every time I go there, I will be waiting list even for getting a seat. The quality & Taste of food is superb. Due to its popularity, most of the time the hotel is crowded, but the crowd doesn't affect the quality of the food served. Highly recommended esp. for veg lovers.

Food is always healthy. Vegetarian rest in Muscat. Their customer count makes you wait sometimes. Not much space. No tea options. Good suppliers out there. It is roadside parking.

Tucked away in Muscat, it’s a cozy, simple spot that serves up authentic flavors in a down-to-earth atmosphere. We popped in for a quick snack and tried their Uddin Medhu Vada along with a classic South Indian filter coffee, done in true Tamilian style. The vada was a real treat – perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, with a fluffy, airy interior that almost melts in your mouth. It had that authentic, earthy flavor of urad dal, seasoned with just the right hint of black pepper and green chilies for a subtle kick. The vada was served fresh and piping hot, making it incredibly satisfying. The filter coffee was the perfect accompaniment – strong, aromatic, and brewed to perfection. I have been visiting Maharaja Restaurant many times, but I’m writing this review only now. It’s a great South Indian pure vegetarian restaurant that serves delicious Tamil Nadu-style cuisine. From full meals to snacks like vada, pongal, dosa, and their tasty filter coffee – everything here truly reflects the authentic taste of Tamil and South Indian food. The quality of food is consistently good, and the service is excellent. The staff and waiters are always polite, friendly, and attentive. It’s a perfect place for both quick snacks and proper meals, breakfast & dinner. The only thing is that they don’t offer home delivery, but I would still highly recommend visiting the restaurant in person. The food and experience are definitely worth it!

This was my first time visiting Maharaja Veg Restaurant in Ruwi. I had always seen it on my way to Ruwi, Wadi Kabir side, but this time I finally decided to try it out — and to my surprise, everything turned out to be absolutely fantastic! The interiors are beautiful, giving a very welcoming vibe. The customer service was top-notch, far better than my expectations. The waiters were super friendly with my toddler, which made the experience even more memorable. The taste of the food was amazing — the Masala Puri was superb, Gobi was delicious, and the Idli was very good too. We also tried ordering the Sizzler Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream, but unfortunately it wasn’t available at the time. Still, considering the taste, price, and exceptional service, I can confidently say this is my all-time best vegetarian restaurant in Muscat. A truly amazing and memorable experience. Highly recommended! 🌟
